LED strip (5m 30 LEDs/m)

This LED strip is 5 meters (16.4 feet) long, with a density of 30 LEDs per meter.

You'll find this fairly sparse so I wouldn't recommend they face towards you. The dots will just be too far apart. If you want to stare at them, I'd go for the more dense options (60 or 144 LEDs per meter).

However, these LEDs can be useful in a variety of situations:

• If you want something really long while only being powered by a single power supply. If you had a 5 meter long strip of the more dense options, typically you'd need a power supply on both ends if you want to blast the brightness.
• You plan to place it behind or underneath something, like a table, and don't want it too bright. Perfect if you just want a simple way to add some glow, without worrying about the concerns from having too many LEDs (mostly power concerns, needing multiple supplies, etc.).
• These are perfect for cutting since the LEDs are far apart.

Hang on, one last thing to mention. Given how far apart these LEDs are from each other, if you place them close to a surface you'll see glowing dots (like in the picture). This can be a desirable effect or something you want to avoid, it just depends on the look you're going for.
